FAQ
Why do EUR and foreign currency both appear?
When the document is in a non-EUR currency, we keep the original total and currency. If a reliable conversion path applies (for example a rate printed on the invoice, or a reference rate), we also show EUR and record how that rate was chosen. See Foreign currency & FX.
OCR disagrees with the paper total — what wins?
Totals win for the primary amount used in conversion and consistency. Line items remain useful for detail. See the conflict rule in Foreign currency & FX.
Can I fix a misread amount?
Yes. Editable fields are your working copy; the OCR extraction is kept as a snapshot. See Attachments & OCR.
What do VAT labels like EU / non-EU / reverse charge mean?
These labels help you classify how a document should be handled in your VAT workflow. In Receiptu, think of them as guidance categories for reporting and review (not automatic tax filing). See VAT & reports for label types and usage notes.
Does Receiptu file my VAT return?
No. Receiptu helps you organise documents and signals for Dutch-style VAT concepts; your official return stays with you and your tools or accountant. See VAT & reports.
